How long does a Sealing Ring last after its first tears?

The tear growth resistance or the tear strength of rubber material indicates how fast after initial tearing a complete tear follows. This value is used as a criterion for the selection of material of physically highly stressed rubber components, for example membranes or abrasively highly stressed lip seals.
