High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)

Quantitative determination of residual peroxide content using HPLC

Residual peroxides in EPDM can be reliably quantified using our specially developed method – particularly relevant since the SVHC classification.

  • Quantitative rather than just qualitative
  • Reproducible in cross-linked EPDM
  • Practical for seals, drinking water, industry

Why is this topic important right now?

Dicumyl peroxide (DCP) was classified as a substance of very high concern in 2024. Residual peroxides can cause post-crosslinking, odour, efflorescence or changes in properties.

The gap

To date, there is no established standard that quantifies residual peroxides in cross-linked elastomers.

Our solution

A robust high-performance liquid chromatography method developed by us for the reliable qualification of DCP in EPDM.
