From an application-specific point of view this means that a high value points to a good applicability for characteristic vibration technical tasks. Elastomer materials like natural rubber (NR), ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM) or silicone rubber (VMQ) fulfill this criterion whereas fluorelastomers (FKM) show rather lower values. However, the result of the rebound resilience is also significantly influenced by formula characteristics like the polymer architecture (average molecular weight, ratio of the applied monomers) and the amount of polymer within the formula.
